Hall of Carb Labelling Shame
The purpose of this page is to share UK restaurants and attractions which make no attempt to share the Carbohydrate information of the food they sell, and so make the lives of Type 1 Diabetics harder by having to guess the carbohydrate content which is likely to result to make the insulin dose taken incorrect. Vote with your feet and avoid these places until they provide this information. If you are aware of any others that should be added to this page please email hello@type1diabetestips.com or if you have been provided the carb information in a restaurant for places below please can you take pictures of this and email hello@type1diabetestips.com so we can share on this website.
With 111 restaurants across the UK it is really disappointing that as far as we can see Frankie & Benny’s show absolutely no carbohydrate content on their menus or website.
It is really disappointing that as far as we can see TGI Fridays show absolutely no carbohydrate content on their menus or website for eating in. We have had reports that the carb information can be requested from staff in the restaurant however greater visibility and transparency of this would help us all. We contacted TGI Fridays in October 2018 who said there were working on providing carbohydrate information however as of August 2020 this still does not seem to be available.
YO!Sushi have more than 70 Japanese street food and sushi restaurants across the UK. It is really disappointing that as far as we can see YO!Sushi show absolutely no carbohydrate content on their menus or website.
