Jabeze – Service adapting trousers to allow easier access for injecting

“A group of mothers who have created a simple and “eze” design enabling discreet injections without fuss.”

Our service involves adapting trousers by inserting a zip into the seam of your trousers. Our customers send us their trousers and we adapt and return them, usually within a 72 hour turnaround. The result is an almost invisible adaption allowing the wearer to inject into their legs without going through the material – this in turn enables injection sites to be monitored and stops trouser material/dirt/germs being pushed through by the needle to under the skin.
Why? Let’s face it, it’s not rocket science! However, managing diabetes in itself is hard enough and we’ve found that this relatively small change to my own’s son clothing allowed him to have more confidence to inject, when away from the privacy of our own home. It also reduces the chance of infection to injection sites and lipos. We wanted to share this with all those who are MDI and offer them the adaption service too.

Joseph Joseph Tri Scale – portable

We saw a Type 1 Dad using these portable scales at a recent Beaver/Cub meet up and thought they were brilliant and so bought some which has made it much easier weighing food when out and about.

The product description is:
“This digital scale brings a whole meaning to the concept of space-saving kitchen gadgets. When open, its three arms provide a stable platform on which to place bowls and other items for weighing. When closed, the unit folds down to an extremely compact size, enclosing and protecting the screen and controls, which makes it ideal for storing in a kitchen drawer. It has an easy-to-read LCD display, touch-sensitive controls and an auto power-off feature. A convenient Add and Weigh function also allows multiple ingredients to be measured in the same bowl during recipe preparation. The scale weighs/measures in the following units: gms, lbs, ozs, fl.ozs and mls.

Maximum capacity: 5 kg/176.4 fl.oz/11 lb/5000 ml. Wipe clean with a damp cloth.”
